Ioulia Makri is a multidisciplinary artist, designer, and illustrator from Greece. Her diverse portfolio spans across multiple mediums including painting, drawing, mural making and illustration. She graduated from the Product and Systems Design Engineering of the University of the Aegean with a major in Multitasking and Creative Exploration.

The notion of nostalgia, self-discovery, and connection through human relationships stands at the core of her work. A significant part of Makri’s practice is developed with a reference to spontaneous moments captured on her phone, translating them into bodies of work that reflect personal and universal narratives that are connected to family traditions and memory portrayed through fleeting moments of happiness.

Alongside her independent studio practice, Makri has collaborated with award-winning creative studios in the design and advertising industry. Her work has been exhibited in solo & group exhibitions in Greece.
