Ioulia Makri is a painter, designer, and illustrator based in Greece. She is a graduate of the Department of Product and Systems Design Engineering at the University of the Aegean, with a specialization in Ilustration and Creative Exploration.

Her artistic practice is developed through personal photographic archives, which she translates into painted works using a variety of techniques and media. Central themes in her work include nostalgia, memory, discovery, and human connection, explored through narratives that move between personal experience and collective memory.

Alongside her independent artistic practice, Makri has collaborated with award-winning creative studios in the fields of design and advertising, as well as with publishing houses, illustrating books for both adults and children. Her work has been presented in solo and group exhibitions.
